I’m going to keep this one short and sweet. Like a toddler dressed as a fairy. Like the length of time the sun shines lately.
I won’t complain, though. When it does come out, it’s heaven-sent. I love nothing more than feeling the sun upon my face.
Skin cancer fears aside, the sun is necessary for us humans to produce vitamin D, and ‘may protect against a host of diseases, including osteoporosis, heart disease, and cancers’ (from U.S.NewsHealth – thank you once again, Google). The sun also helps us to release endorphins, those all-is-good-happy-days-I-love-life neurotransmitters in the brain that make us feel great.
Science aside, the sun is one of the free, simple, and glorious pleasures in life, and it was good to feel it today.
Anyway, as a demented but doting first-time mum I have a million things to do. I won’t begin to list them here, if I did, this entry would not be, as promised, at all short, and then in no way sweet.
